"Poetry is what gets lost in translation." ~ Robert Frost
Somewhere along the way, I started writing. If you care to look beyond the jokes & smiles, you will find me a bit of an introvert, spinning through life one clumsy step at a time, fortunate to not have skinned my knees one too many times yet.
When everything gets a little too drowned out by the white noise of this planet, I tend to reassemble myself at the keyboard in an attempt to slow down & breathe.
English is my second language. I love how it feels on my tongue and how the words can be shaped and sculpted, so be patient with me — I am experimenting.
Enjoy, if you will.
Miriam
P.S.: I consider it to be pretty stupid to write about myself from a “third-person-perspective”, so none of that nonsense will ever happen here. Just… no.
So many beautiful lines here. Your writing is incredible. Thank you for taking a minute to read my blog! It brought me to yours 🙂

Without getting into the (dis)advantages of blogging in your first language, may I ask why did you choose your 2nd language?

English “flows” for me… German doesn’t. For me, it’s not a very poetic language… I feel more “at home” writing in English

You are welcome. Was that a sort of “enough questions” or you truly thanked me for visiting your blog?

Lol. Honestly I did not like much on your blog and had this feeling that you can do better in your first language. My 2 cents pls 🙂

I think I do just fine in English. It’s not for everyone. I don’t mind. I write for myself. If people like it, that’s a bonus. Thanks for your two cents! Now I really gotta go! Have a good day!
