On The Far Side Of Neverland

on his sandpaper skin
you could see the scars of
all those missed trips to Neverland —

all those moments when
he wanted to be Peter Pan
but could not bring himself to fly

& with his earthbound grip
he built his foundation, solidly
on the slopes of a childhood dream

while his twinkling eyes
still sought Peter Pan
in the ever-changing skies.

eBooks’ Character Flaws

papery wonder;
that little pop
when i
stretch the binding
for the first time ~
and i smell them…
letters… ink ~
the doorway
lies straight ahead.
one last look
at the artistic teaser…
and i dive
dive deep;
let imagination
entice me.

my friends,
your virtual cousins
will never inherit
your charms.

I love books. For the one my extremely kind mailman delivered to me today, I have waited for more than a year… and now I am sitting here, building my anticipation, just looking at it. Sweet agony.
This is the beauty I am looking at: Jim Butcher’s ” Cold Days”
… if you don’t know the Series and love to read, boy, you’re in for a treat. They are absolutely marvelous. Who knows, maybe one of you will get hooked as well.
Now… off to enjoy the moment I’ve waited for… for so long.

Dear Melted Cheese,

i have to resist the urge to squeal with joy every time we meet.

you’re so delicious, i wish i could eat a ton of you and not get nauseous.
i like you best a little burnt – sometimes i provoke this particular consistency just by putting a slice of you in the microwave.
the outcome… a feast for my senses. mmmh.

you are awesome.
stay as you are… and be sure, you will have a devoted fan – as long as my cholesterol allows it.

thank you,
an admirer
